Perkara `pelik' Ayah Pin

~more

Sabaton - Primo Victoria

Through the gates of hell
As we make our way to heaven
Through the nazi lines
Primo Victoria

We've been training for years
Now we're ready to strike
The great operation begins

We're the first waves on shore
We're the first ones to fall!
Yet soldiers has fallen before

In the dawn they will pay
with their lives as the price
history's written today

In this burning inferno
where nothing remains
as our forces advance on the beach

Bridge:
Aiming for heaven though serving in hell
victory's ours, their forces will fall

Chorus:
Through the gates of hell
as we make our way to heaven
through the nazi lines
Primo Victoria!
On the sixth of june
on the shores of western Europe
Nineteen forty-four
D-day upon us

We've been here before
It's this kind of war
crossfire grind through the sand

Orders were easy
It's kill or be killed
Blood on both sides will be spilled

In the dawn they will pay
with their lives as the price
history's written today

Now that we are at war
with the axis again
this time we know what will come

Bridge

Chorus

Solo

Sixth of June
Nineteen forty-four
Allies are turning the war

Normandie
State of anarchy
OVERLORD

Bridge

Chorus x2

Oh, good - e-mail is for older people...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - E-mail is for grown-ups and U.S. teenagers now prefer instant messaging to communicate with each other online, according to a survey released on Wednesday.

Internet users from 12 to 17 years old say e-mail is best for talking to parents or institutions, but they are more likely to fire up IM when talking with each other, the nonprofit Pew Internet and American Life Project found.

E-mail is still used by 90 percent of online teens. But the survey found greater enthusiasm for instant messaging.

Three-quarters of teen Internet users use instant messaging, compared with 42 percent of adults, Pew said. Nearly half of teens said they exchanged IMs daily, and some said they spent more than two hours each day using instant-messenger programs.

Half or nearly half of the 1,100 teenagers surveyed said they used IM to send Web links or photos to each other, while nearly one-third said they had sent music or video clips over IM. Adults were much less likely to do any of those things, the survey found.

Nearly nine out of 10 teenagers say they use the Internet, up from 74 percent in 2000. Those are who still not online are likely to be so poor that they have limited access to technology, the survey found, and are disproportionately black.

The survey, conducted in October and November 2004, has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.

Siti Aishah hanya cedera ringan manakala penunggang sebuah lagi motosikal berusia 40-an yang identitinya belum dikenal pasti, pula parah.

Santa wanted to be an accountant, so he went for an aptitude test:

Tester:  If I give you two Rabbits, and two rabbits, and another two rabbits, how many rabbits have you got?

Santa : SEVEN!

Tester : No, listen carefully again. If I give you two Rabbits, and two rabbits, and another two rabbits, how many rabbits have you got?

Santa : SEVEN!

Tester: Let's try this another way. If I give you two bottles of beer, and two bottles of beer, and another two bottles of beer, how many bottles of beer have you got?

Santa : SIX.

Tester : Good! Now, if I give you two Rabbits, and two rabbits, and another two rabbits, how many rabbits have you got?

Santa : SEVEN!

Tester : How on Earth do you work out that three lots of two rabbits is seven?

Santa : I've already got one rabbit at home.

Tester: #@$%@^#&$&*#$*#($((((!!!!!!!!!!

"The war on terror is a war of terror that keeps no one safe"

To all who forwards e-mails (info)

ABSOLUTELY applies to ALL of us who send E-mails

Do you really know how to forward E-mails? 50% of us do, 50% do NOT.

Do you wonder why you get viruses or junk mail? Do you hate it?

Every time you forward an e-mail there is information left over from the people that got the message before you, namely their e-mail addresses.

As the messages get forwarded along the list of addresses builds, and builds, and builds, and all it takes is for some poor sap to get a virus and his computer can send that virus to every e-mail address that has come across his computer.

Or, someone can take all of those addresses and sell them or send junk mail to them in the hopes that you will go to the site and he will make five cents. That's right, all of that inconvenience over a nickel! How do you stop it? Well, there are two easy steps:

  • When you forward an e-mail DELETE all of the other addresses that appear in the body of the message That's right, DELETE THEM. Highlight them and delete them, backspace them, cut them, whatever it is you know how to do. It only takes a second.
  • Whenever you send an e-mail don't use the To: or Cc: columns for adding e-mail address. Always use the BCC: (blind carbon copy) column for listing the e-mail addresses. This way the people that you send to only see their own e-mail address. If you don't see your BCC: option click on where it says To: and your address list will appear. Highlight the address and choose BCC: and that's it, it's that easy. Then send it to undisclosed recipients.

So please, in the future, let's stop the junk mail and the viruses!

Finally, here's an idea!!! Let's send this to everyone we know. This is something that   SHOULD be forwarded. Remember to remove my email first.

Black Sabbath - Children Of The Sea

In the misty morning, on the edge of time
We've lost the rising sun, a final sign
As the misty morning rolls away to die
Reaching for the stars, we blind the sky

We sailed across the air before we learned to fly
We thought that it could never end
We'd glide above the ground before we learned to run, run
Now it seems our world has come undone

Oh they say that it's over
And it just had to be
Ooh they say that it's over
We're lost children of the sea, oh

We made the mountains shake with laughter as we played
Hiding in our corner of the world
Then we did the demon dance and rushed to nevermore
Threw away the key and locked the door

Oh they say that it's over, yeah
And it just had to be
Yes they say that it's over
We're lost children of the sea

In the misty morning, on the edge of time
We've lost the rising sun, a final sign
As the misty morning rolls away to die
Reaching for the stars, we blind the sky

Oh they say that it's over, yeah
And it just had to be
Oh they say that it's over
Poor lost children of the sea, yeah

LOOK OUT! The sky is falling down!
LOOK OUT! The world is spinning round and round and round!
LOOK OUT! The sun is going black, black
LOOK OUT! It's never never never coming back, LOOK OUT!

"Mas minumannya kurang manis, tambahin gula lagi yah...."

Kemudian sang mertua menjawab, "Sudah, sejak kentutan pertama..."

Hotmail to Get Storage Bump

BetaNews has learned that Microsoft is expected to begin its rollout of the next version of Hotmail, possibly as early as Wednesday. Code-named 'Kahuna,' this version of Hotmail will sport a new style of interface, automatic inbox refreshing and a preview pane that will enable Hotmail users to read and respond to e-mail without ever leaving their inbox.

The announcement could come in tandem with announcements on the betas of Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista, both of which are expected to be released sometime Wednesday.

Included with the upgrade is a bump of the storage space for free users to two gigabytes, of which several sources told BetaNews they had seen storage increases in their accounts. The increased storage space would put it on a more equal footing with its competitors. Google's Gmail offers 2GB, as does Yahoo! Mail.

The latest version of Hotmail would also include upgrades to Microsoft's Sender ID technology. Sender ID has been pushed by the Redmond company as a way cut down on the number of spam messages and phishing attacks flooding customer inboxes. It has received the backing of companies such as America Online, especially following the company's move to open it up to be compatible with competing anti-spam technologies.

Sender ID has already been live in the production version of Hotmail since January of this year.

Recognizing that it is behind in several key areas, Microsoft has engineered the next wave of Hotmail, allegedly referred to as the 'competitive wave,' in a methodical push to meet or exceed the competition. ~link

Honda Civic Concept 2005

The next generation Civic Concept is shown in the form of a 5-door hatchback. The sculpted design implies a more sporty direction for Honda’s best ever selling model. The 8th generation promises to deliver class exceeding performance as well as high fuel efficiency across all engines, which will take the model into ''Premium'' C-segment in Europe.

Honda believes that the next Civic will set new standards in the ever demanding C segment, particularly in the premium sector. Wider and lower than the current Civic, the new model will continue to be built in Honda’s European manufacturing plant in Swindon, UK. The award winning i-CTDi engine will be part of the Civic line-up and will be assembled at the UK factory. Power output for the Civic i-CTDi is expected to be a class leading 140 PS with a maximum torque of 340 Nm. In addition to the new i-CTDi engine, there will also be petrol engine variants.

Honda´s intention of moving the new Civic into a more sporty, emotional and fun to drive direction is clear from the concept car on display. New engines will provide class exceeding performance in all areas and it is a firm belief that the next generation will set new standards for the C-segment.

Spider - Buat Sang Puteri

Hilang mentari
Ada yang tinggal
Rembulan kegersangan
Yang meratapi
Cahaya hujung malam di kala sunyi

Hilang kekasih
Ada yang yang tinggal
Pemuja kesepian
Yang melayani
Puisi cinta buat sang puteri

*
Pedihnya hatiku yang terguris
Kalau bisa terzahir ke nyata sini
Langit nangis Oh.... Oh......

Kerana dirimu dunia ku terlepas
Kerana.. kerana kau ku bernafas
Kerana tanpamu semangat jadi tewas
Kerana.. kerana kau yang teratas...

Segala apa
Biarpun jiwa aku pertaruhkan jua
Asalkan saja
Dikau bersama diriku selalunya

Kerana.. kerana kau ku bernafas
Kerana.. kerana kau yang teratas...
Kerana.. tanpamu semangat jadi tewas

Skim piramid menjurus skim cepat kaya

Bagaimana jika didatangi penganjur skim piramid?

bertangguh lagi, cepat buat!

i. Senaraikan 10 syarikat utama

- Berapa lama anda sanggup bekerja ?

sehingga anda sukar membuatpilihan!
belajarlah! Jangan berikan alasan!

iv. Dapatkan bantuan rakan

Biar semua orang tahu anda sedang mencari kerja.

Masa inilah anda ingin menonjolkan diri anda.

vii. Gunakan khidmat agensi pekerjaan

Setelah berehat ambilnya kembali. Hidup ini Singkat, Jadi Cubalah Menikmatinya!!!!

Study: Some Internet Terms Unfamiliar

By The Associated Press
Wed Jul 20, 9:49 PM ET

Podcasting and RSS feeds may be the latest craze in high-tech circles but the general public is largely unfamiliar with the Internet terms.

A study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project also finds that Internet users aren't all that familiar with 'phishing,' either.

Seventy percent of Internet users never heard of phishing or aren't sure that it refers to e-mail scams that try to trick users into revealing sensitive information by masquerading as a legitimate bank or credit card issuer.

Eighty-seven percent are unfamiliar with podcasting, which lets everyday users distribute audio files over the Internet for playback any time on computers or digital music players.

And 91 percent do not know about Really Simple Syndication, or RSS, a technology chiefly used to pull summaries of new entries on news sites and Web journals.

'When you look at the adoption of anything, once a critical mass of people are in the know, they assume that everybody else around them are as aware as they are,' said Lee Rainie, director of the Pew project.

He called the results of the study, based on random telephone interviews with 1,336 Internet users, 'a sobering reality check.'

The phishing findings, in particular, underscore the importance of continued education campaigns, Rainie said.

The survey was conducted May 4-June 7 and has a margin of sampling error of 3 percentage points.

Longhorn officially dubbed Vista

MICROSOFT HAS CONFIRMED that Longhorn's official name will become "Vista."

A video is available at Microsoft's website, showing two unnamed and disturbingly enthusiastic middle aged men* (one of them's a cowboy) teasing the audience with a sneak preview of Windows Vista. A tip to Microsoft: it's not a good idea to start your videos with blue screens.

"In a world of more to do and more to discover, the desire is clarity," says the video. Actually, I think the desire is more for something reliable that doesn't require a monstrous supercomputer to run. The video ends with the message: "clear, confident and connected." ~link

Microsoft does well, Google does four times better

By Cher Price: Thursday 21 July 2005, 21:59

BOTH GOOGLE and Microsoft declared revenues and while the results are rosy for the latter, the former quadrupled its earnings.

Microsoft's net profits rose by 38 per cent in its fourth quarter. It made $3.7 billion on revnues of $10.16 billion>

Google continued its run, by making $342.8 million net profit on revenues of $890 million. That's a fourfold increase in its profits compared to the same period last year.

Google's profits were nearly all from its advertising scheme. Microsoft's profits were helped by good sales of server software and increased sales of notebooks. Sales of Office, however, only rose by 2.5 per cent, while Windows sales rose by just over 10 per cent, with revenues from the OS amounting to $3.3 billion. µ

Again: four more bombs hit London transit

London Metropolitan Police commissioner Ian Blair has confirmed that there have been three small explosions on tube trains at Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush stations, and another small explosion on a No. 26 bus in Hackney.

The London Ambulance Service has not found any injured people, but one person has reported themselves to a local hospital. It is not yet known if this is connected with the blasts.

All the devices were "conventional" but possibly faulty, and contained no chemical or biological agents. Not all the bombs exploded fully, Bomb Squad officers are working on making them safe. There are no reports of the deaths of suspects who attempted to set the explosives off.

Incidents

A spokesman for Stagecoach said the driver of the number 26 bus travelling through Shoreditch had heard a bang on upper deck, gone upstairs and seen the windows were blown out. The bus driver was very shaken but is said to be fine.

One injury sustained at Warren Street tube station has been confirmed by authorities. There have been no other reports of injuries, and authorities are reporting no casualties.

At around 15:25, a man was arrested by armed police in Whitehall, which is cordoned off. A second man was arrested in the Whitehall area around 16:15, but Police have confirmed that this arrest is unconnected with the explosions.

Armed police were deployed at UCL Hospital, near Warren Street tube station, after reports of a suspect entering the hospital. There was speculation that one of the bombers may have been injured and sought treatment at the hospital. A Scotland Yard spokesman had said "We are dealing with an incident at University College Hospital and we have armed officers deployed there. We cannot go in any further detail at this stage." A UCL spokeswoman confirmed that an email had been sent to staff asking them to be on the lookout for the suspect. At 16:00 a spokesman for the Metropolitan police confirmed that the incident was over, but armed police returned to the hospital 30 minutes later to search the premises. Police have now also confirmed this is unrelated to the explosions.

CRADLE OF FILTH To Celebrate Halloween With Spooky Novel

"ContactMusic.com is reporting that CRADLE OF FILTH will celebrate Halloween this year by releasing a book which tells a fictional tale about the band's supernatural adventures.

The currently untitled novel, written by music journalist Gavin Baddeley, includes popular myths about the group and each chapter is loosely based around one of the metal outfit's nine albums.

Frontman Dani Filth says, 'It's going to be a coffee table book, the sort of thing you can just flick through.

'Gavin's really well-versed in the occult and black metal and everything. I've read the first part and it's excellent.

'The opening's about the rise of the evil British Empire. It references why Hollywood always places a quintessential English gentleman in the role of the bad guy — people like Alan Rickman.'"

Marriage Problems

A man and woman were having marriage problems, and decided to end their union after a very short time together. After a most brief attempt to reconcile, the couple went to court to finalize their break-up.

The judge asked the husband, "What has brought you to this point, where you are not able to keep this marriage together?"

The husband said, "In the six weeks we've been together, we haven't been able to agree on one thing."

The wife said, "Seven weeks."

Farah AF2 - Tangisan Dalam Kerinduan

Dalam kerinduan ini
Ku menatap gambar wajahmu di ruang kamar
Rintahan asmara kau dan aku
Kini tinggal memori yang menghiris di kalbu

Duhai bayu
Sampaikan salam pada dirinya
Nyatakan betapa kini perpisahan
Semua kuredhai

Dalam tangisan yang syahdu
Kau mendustai percintaan diriku
Setelah aku memberi segala-galanya
Pengorbanan ku kau persiakan

Bridge:
Oh mengapa
Tangisan dalam kerinduan ini
Menjadi kehidupanku tidak menentu
Keretakan bak dihempas kaca
Oh mengapa

Korus:
Ku masih merinduimu
Walau tidak dijodohkan
Suratan takdir telah menentukannya

Kumasih menyintaimu
Hingga ke akhir hayatku
Biarku simpan perasaaan ini¡ kasih

Izinku membawa diri
Oh bayu sampaikan salam perpisahan
Oh.. dari ku

Ulang Bridge & Korus"

BetaNews | Winamp Updated to Fix Security Hole

By Nate Mook, BetaNews

AOL's Nullsoft division released a minor update to its Winamp digital audio player on Monday to correct a security vulnerability that could lead to buffer overflow and the potential execution of arbitrary code. Winamp 5.094 fixes the problem, along with a number of minor bugs.

The vulnerability lies in the way Winamp processes ID3 tags contained in MP3 files. If a malformed MP3 file is loaded into a playlist with an artist or title that is too long, it is possible to create overflow code that is later executed. The issue was reported to Nullsoft in late June, and an advisory was issued by LSS Security last week.

Kumpulan DEWA pejuang yahudi?

(Dalam album Laskar Cinta, Ahmad Dhani turut menyebut ALLAH SWT sebagai LORD OF THE LORDS)???

Satu lagi kontroversi yang dicetuskan apabila Ahmad Dhani dalam ruangan kata-kata aluan menulis :"DHANI THANKS TO...JAN PIETER FREDERICH KOHLER (THANKS FOR THE GEN)" yang bermaksud :"DHANI BERTERIMA KASIH KEPADA...JAN PIERTER FREDERICH KOHLER (TERIMA KASIH ATAS DARAH KETURUNANNYA).

Sekian.

Ella - Ku Tahu Kau Rindu

Kutahu kau rindu
Sejakku meninggalkanmu
Kutahu kau pilu
Bimbangku melupakanmu

Sejak kau lukakan hatiku
Mempermain cinta suciku
Siang dan malam tangisi
Silamku

Kasih sayangku yang bersemi
Ku tabut racun yang berbisa
Dibelakangku di tertawa dan hina

Mungkin aku tiada yang lain
Kerna itu kau berani berpaling
Membiarkan aku tertanya
Siapa milikku

Sehingga ku meninggalkanmu
Baru kini engkau terasa
Cinta siapa lebih perdana

Planet with three suns

July 17, 2005

ASTRONOMERS have detected a planet outside our solar system with not one, but three suns, a finding that challenges astronomers' theories of planetary formation.

The planet, a gas giant slightly larger than Jupiter, orbits the main star of a triple-star system known as HD 188753 in the constellation Cygnus (The Swan).

The stellar trio and its planet are about 149 light-years from Earth and about as close to each other as our sun is to Saturn, US scientists reported Thursday in the current edition of the journal Nature.

If you stood on the planet's surface, you would see three suns in sky, although its orbit centres around the main yellow star among the trio. The larger of the other two suns would be orange and the smaller would be red, astronomers at California Institute of Technology said in a statement.

The new finding could upset existing theories that planets usually form out of gas and dust circling a single star, and could lead scientists to look in new places for planets.

"The implication is that there are more planets out there than we thought," the commentary said.

Caltech astronomer Maciej Konacki, who wrote the research article, refers to the new type of planets as "Tatooine planets," because of the similarity to Luke Skywalker's view of his home planet by the same name, with its multiple suns, in the original "Star Wars" film.

The fact that a planet can even exist in a multiple-star system is amazing in itself, according to Konacki. Binary and multiple stars are quite common in the solar neighborhood, and in fact outnumber single stars by some 20 per cent.

But so far, most extrasolar planets -- those discovered outside our planetary system -- have been detected by watching for a characteristic wobble in the stars their orbit, reflecting the gravitation pull the planets exert on their suns.

This method is less effective for binary and multiple star systems, and existing theories said planets were unlikely to form in this kind of environment.

Konacki found a new way to identify planets by measuring velocities of all bodies in a binary or multiple star system.

- AP ~link

Blog software maker Six Apart this week released a beta version 3.2 of Movable Type that includes improvements to the administration of multiple blogs, easier installation and upgrading. The most notable enhancement in the beta are new features to combat spam, which has become an increasing problem on blogs based on Movable Type.

Comments are now ranked through something called a Feeback Rating System. 'Our feedback rating framework scores comments and TrackBacks in real-time as they are received, and the system has the ability to take action on the basis of those scores,' Six Apart wrote in a post explaining how the feature works. The company said that it expects a final version of Movable Type 3.2 to be released within a month."

Kan ku himpunkan suatu kehidupan
Misteri petaka yang dilupakan
Pengabdian diri dicengkam kesesatan
Menangisi hukum darjat kebesaran

Kan ku himpunkan dongeng purbakala
Hidangan santapan paduka baginda
Hikayat berdarah semarak pawaka
Sembah dijunjung mengundang celaka

Belati berganja gading
Gempita ratna mutu kehancuran
Arca mercu kesesatan menghitung ajal

GERBANG KAYANGAN

Dingin semilir pagi
Sejuk ke tulang hitam
Mengangkat aku ke bahtera awana
Bertatah petir menerjah awan

Berlari kuda-kuda hitam
Membujuk langit
Menafi tanah
Menafi lautan
Bagai halilintar
Rindukan amang

Agungnya panca depan mataku
Marinya turun tujuh dayang
Menerjah aku putra sakti
Merafaq dibuka gerbang kayangan

Bagai Indrajit di depan rawana
Sepuluh kepala sepuluh bahu
Berdatik sahaja mengaku diraja
Aku tuntut janjimu prabu
Sang sita balik dalam pelukanku

MERONG MAHAWANGSA

Bentara hitunglah mimpi ini
Singgahsanaku menanti di galha
Membuai ribut laksana sutera
Ku belai taufan di hujung bahtera

Paduka andika pra ong mahawangsa

Sujudlah engkau serahkan puterimu
Kesaktian pusar bentara jadi jentayu
Gah si naga lagi barang kenaikanku
Gelora di laut bercanda di awan

Kuala tawai saksi bencana
Dilanggar garoda langkapuri
Engkau di puncak mengibar awan
Ditentang paduka pra ong mahawangsa

Laut puaka menelan malam
Terpisah aku membenam janji
Mengikat kata
Menjangkau tanah, membelah gelombang
Kita buru ufuk hakiki

Hanyut tanah tak bertuan
Rakyat tidak bertuan
Ditabal aku di segara masin
Raja Qalha pra ong mahawangsa

(hai panah saktiku, jika benar namamu Berana Pura)
jika kau benar mempunyai kesaktian
tunjuklah kesaktianmu

hai garoda durjana, jika sungguh niatmu
ku panah kau menjalar maut
ku gantung dirimu di alang, ku paku lidahmu
di sengang, keringlah engkau di Tiang Sula

PURNAMARJUNA

Kaulah segalanya oh puteri
Penyeri malam bulan purnama
Tak tercapai
Aku terpegun dan terhenti sejenak
Dan ribut kencang melayangkan kenangan
Kenangan silam yang menghanyutkan harapan
Tenggelam ke dasar laut biru asmara
Ditelan, dipukul ombak
Terdampar di pasir hitam bergelut gelombang

Tinggallah kau sang pungguk
Tak perlu kau mengejar aku
Tak sanggup aku berpijakan tanah
Perjalanan tanpa menjanjikan
Penentu

Usahlah kau halang bulan yang mengambang
Gelap gelita, butakan cintaku
Di puncak sana ku setia menunggu
Menantikan bulan mengambang (gilang gemilang)

Demikian aduhai dewi
Seribu purnama tetap ku tunggu
Menanti wajah ku puja (menjelma)

Mungkin besok malam akan kembali
Bersama bulan dan bintangnya
Mingkinkah akan menjelma

"RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Armed bandits in Brazil robbed a vehicle carrying more than 400 breast implants, officials said Tuesday.

“It happened last week, but we only learned about it recently as our clients started complaining. It is the hottest period of the year in terms of implant sales,” said Margaret Figueiredo, director of silicone implant manufacturer Silimed.

A spokesman for the state postal service confirmed that assailants, apparently men, robbed the postal van with implants Thursday night in Rio de Janeiro. Each Silimed breast implant costs nearly $400." ~link

Email forwarding amounts to ritual gift exchange

Forwarding a quirky email or an amusing link or video attachment to colleagues may seem innocent enough, but it is the modern equivalent of ritual gift exchange and carries with it similar social implications, say US researchers.

Email forwarding is a familiar part of modern email communications, and has spawned many an internet phenomenon, the Star Wars kid, the Numa Numa dance, and Oolong the rabbit to name just a few.

Benjamin Gross at the University of Illinois, US, and colleagues studied email forwarding behaviour by conducting informal interviews among email users. He says forwarding emails plays a vital role in constructing and maintaining modern social ties, despite the phenomenon receiving scant attention from social scientists.

Forwarding a genuinely amusing or interesting link to a friend, for example, shows that you are thinking of them and are aware of the sort of content they like, Gross says. But passing an irrelevant or out-of-date link on to contacts can be annoying, thus lowering the sender's social status in the recipient’s eyes.

“Viral” marketing

"If they are consistently wrong about what content is of actual interest to recipients their reputation may drop in the implicit system people must apply in order to [prioritise] their email," Gross writes in a paper co-authored with Jeff Ubois at the University of California, Berkley, and Marc Smith at Microsoft Research in Redmond, both in the US.

The power of email-mediated social networks has, of course, already been identified by marketing firms, who often try to exploit them through "viral" marketing campaigns. This involves creating a video clip or website that includes an advertising message and hoping that it gets passed on via email to thousands of internet users.

Gross says email-forwarding networks could prove useful in other ways. He points to a software project called Forward Track, which can monitor email forwarding chains, making it possible for political groups to keep track of those who have forwarded a political message to friends.

Microsoft has also developed software to map the networks created through email forwarding. A prototype program called Social Network and Relationship Finder, or SNARF, can be used to create a picture of the social and business networks constructed through email communications.

The researchers will present their paper at the Second Conference on Email and Anti-Spam in California from 21 July.

Spectacular Mammatus Clouds over Hastings, Nebraska

Mammatus (also known as mamma or mammatocumulus) is a meteorological term given to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud. The pouches, typically measuring about half a kilometer in diameter, are often ragged, but may appear smooth. Their color is normally a bluish gray, the same as that of the host cloud, but direct illumination from the setting sun and other clouds may cause a gold or reddish cast. Mammatus may last anywhere from minutes to hours, diffusing and disappearing with time.

The mechanism of their production is not well-known and has been poorly studied. The presence of very dry air beneath the cloud base is known to be a factor.

Mammatus has often been linked with the occurrence of tornadoes, particularly during the 1950s and 1960s. Though tornadic storms often do produce mammatus under their downwind anvil, many weak storms and even stratiform clouds produce mammatus.

"kenapa? tanya petugas kehairanan...

"Kerana saya bukanlah IBUnya.. tapi pengasuhnya..." jawab wanita itu...

Google Video searches a rapidly growing database of network TV shows and uploaded material. For some material, you can also play the actual video. That's how I know that this guy Eric has a cool cat.

Because lots of people have asked for a way to just find the results with playable video, I've added two radio buttons below the search box on Google Video. To get the stuff you can actually play, click on 'playable video' before you search."

US probe confirms Guantanamo abuse

Wednesday 13 July 2005 3:14 PM GMT

Military investigators have found evidence of degrading and abusive treatment of suspects by interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, an official on the Senate Armed Services Committee said.

US Senator Carl Levin said on Wednesday that their investigation, which looked into FBI allegations of abuse of prisoners, said abuse was not the result of a minority element.

"It is clear from the report that detainee mistreatment was not simply the product of a few rogue military police in a night shift," said Levin, a Michigan Democrat.

Bush administration officials have sought to portray the excesses at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq as just that.

But looking into FBI reports of abuse, the investigators found multiple instances at the prison, including the use of duct tape on at least one prisoner's face, a threat to kill another prisoner's family, and inappropriate touching by female interrogators.

Investigators also determined that interrogators violated the Geneva Conventions and Army regulations three times. It was unclear from the aide's description what those instances were.

Taking responsibility

Previous investigations of prisoner abuse in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo have hurt US standing worldwide, which have prompted calls for a more thorough report.

The latest military investigation was conducted by Air Force Lieutenant General Randall Schmidt and Army Brigadier General John Furlow after the FBI agents' reports of abuse at Guantanamo surfaced last year.

They recommended that Army Major General Geoffrey Miller be reprimanded for failing to oversee the interrogation of a high-value detainee, which was found to have been abusive, the aide said.

No officer of Miller's rank or higher has been officially admonished in connection with any of the abuse scandals.

Former Brigadier General Janice Karpinski, who was in charge of Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, is the highest-ranking officer to face punishment, despite calls from human rights groups to hold more senior leaders accountable.

Miller, a subject of criticism by human rights groups, took command of the prison camp at Guantanamo in late 2002 with a mandate to get more and better information from prisoners.

He later went to Iraq to oversee detainee operations there. He is now stationed at the Pentagon in a position unrelated to prisoners.

Guantanamo

Guantanamo holds 520 prisoners, while more than 230 others have been released or transferred to the custody of their home governments.

Most were captured during the US invasion of Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks; only a few have been charged with any crime.

One prisoner is Muhammad al-Qahtani, an alleged "20th hijacker" in the 9/11 plot, who military officials have acknowledged has been subject to extremely harsh interrogation techniques.

There have also been repeated accusations that American personnel at Guantanamo mishandled the Quran, the Muslim holy book. A separate Pentagon investigation found five such instances.

QUEEN Guitarist Says The West Must Learn Why Others Hate It

Launch Radio Networks reports: In the wake of the terror bombings in London last week, QUEEN guitarist Brian May says more work should be done to understand why people do this kind of thing. Writing on his official BrianMay.com web site, May says, 'I sense there is a mood of quiet resolve among the people I speak to. We are feeling that we must not go any further down the road of escalation...this is old stuff, but I personally feel that in the wake of 9/11 an opportunity was missed...to seek understanding rather than revenge. The Nelson Mandela way. I do not subscribe to this 'War on Terrorism' slogan. I believe we have a need to secure a peaceful world for our children, and that it cannot be done by exerting our muscle internationally. It sure hasn't worked yet, has it?! It must be done by adjusting OUR behavior — we must stop playing 'Cowboys & Indians' - a self-damning phrase if ever there was one. I no longer believe we are the good guys. We must earn this view of ourselves, and start recognizing that there are other legitimate views of the world than ours.'

May added, 'So where do we go from here? Search everyone before they go on a bus? On a tube train? Walking down the street? This is the road to insanity...a climate of fear, which, sadly, the U.S.A. is already experiencing. It's time we attacked the cause rather than the symptoms. I want to see our politicians answer the question 'WHY?' WHY do people hate us this much? What can we do to change this? It's no use thinking we are dealing with a small bunch of maniacs, as seems to be the popular view, who need to be 'stamped out.' The reality is we are looking at a large number of entire countries of people to whom the American (and English) flag is a symbol of evil. Of selfishness and bullying imperialist aggression. THIS is what we must address. This is what we owe it to our children to do. In my opinion."

The bombings in London forced QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS to postpone their show in Hyde Park from a week, from this past Friday (July 8) to the coming Friday (July 15).

QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS will release a live album and DVD later this year, along with some shows in New York City and Los Angeles. A major North American tour is being planned for next year.

Topic in netscape.public.mozilla.seamonkey ~link

Posted by Asa Dotzler Jul 10, 6:09 pm

We now have a round of builds that are very close to what we will shortly
release as Deer Park Alpha 2.

These candidate builds are now available for testing for each of Windows, Mac
and Linux--- with a second round of l10n builds to follow shortly. Please note
that for our alpha releases there are feature and polish issues that have not
yet been completely worked out. We release these milestones to get the core
code out to our community to test out major gecko and platform changes as soon
as possible. If these test out well, we'll be shipping Deer Park Alpha 2 shortly.

This will be second alpha in the Deer Park product development cycle and will
include all major and significant features, whether pref'd on or off in order to
achieve wider testing and to solicit quality feedback. The quality standard for
this release is pre-production and therefore it should be of the quality
required to support testing, and for Extension, theme and web application
developers to begin compatibility and feature testing in advance of Firefox 1.1.
It may break some but not all 1.0+ targeted Extensions. It should not contain
any significant or known crashers.

Please download these builds and let us know of any significant issues which
should stop this release. In particular, please ensure that these builds work
for you to access all major web sites and services that you use regularly, e.g.
e-mail, e-commerce, banking, etc.

The new software update engine has been incorporated into these builds but it
presently off by default as we put together and coordinate test plans. Details
to be posted here shortly.

Also, after a round of successful testing and debugging during the first Deer
Park alpha, we're enabling the Fastback feature. With this feature enabled
where before the browser needed to re-render each page from a local cache of
documents, now you will see a dramatic speed improvement when you click the back
and forward buttons to navigate between recently viewed web pages.

Linux: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-07-10-05-trunk/

If you find issues, please post them to the Mozilla Quality Blog at
http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/qa/ .

Before filing bugs in Bugzilla, try to check to see first if a bug has been
filed. (Note: There is a link of the main Bugzilla page called "Hot Bugs" which
references the most frequently filed bugs.)

Also been posted at Mozilla Quality Blog ~link

Note: Using it right now, try couple of alpha 1 extension and it's working well, In this build they also automatically install Reporter 1.7 extension http://reporter.mozilla.org/. In Option there is also an option to "automatically download and install updates" (not available in alpha 1).

"MEGADETH bassist James MacDonough has posted the following message in the 'Forums' section of the band's official web site:

'My heart goes out to the people and families affected by this attack in London. People trying to live and survive, this was an outrageous, cowardly attack on civilians and disgusts me. It happens every day in Iraq. These animals are afraid of having their own rights and thinking for themselves, and are comfortable in their state of ignorance to humanity. I'm not posting this to start any kind of political debate. I'm just saying I'm sorry you have to live through something like this. My thoughts [are] with you.'"

Kisah Benar

Selepas makan Salleh terus masuk tidur . Apabila dia cuba hendak melelapkan mata dia terbau seperti bau bangkai di dalam biliknya. Dia cuba membuka mata nya tetapi berasa amat berat sekali . Salleh pun cuba bertempik untuk memanggil bapanya tapi suara tersekat dikerongkong sahaja. Dia cuba membaca ayat suci yang diingatinya .

Akhirnya beliau dapat berteriak memanggil bapanya . Kemudian beliau pengsan. Apabila dia membuka matanya dia dapati rumahnya penuh dengan orang dan mendengar orang menyebut nama Omar Dia melihat bapanya menghampiri nya sambil terseyum dan berkata sabar segalanya telah berakhir . Dia kembali terlelap.

Sesampai ditanah perkuburan dia melihat orang sedang mengali kubur.....

Tiba - tiba dia tedengar orang didalam lubang bertempik ....apa ni !!!

They had that because of their involvement in the murder of thousands of innocent civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because of Abu Gharaib. Because of Guantanamo. If you're gonna fuck up other people's lives, someone will wanna fuck up yours too. Its that simple.

Bed Sharing "Not Good" for infants

"Researchers at the University of Glasgow found that any child under the age of 11 weeks was at risk if they were taken into their parents’ bed. Their study, which was carried out between 1996 and 2000, was funded by the Scottish Cot Death Trust.

Bed Sharing Averse to the earlier believed risk to infants sharing a bed with parents who were smokers, this new finding seems rather alarming and a point needing utmost attention by parents of new borns. The new research suggests that even letting your child sleep with you on a couch or in a chair could increase its chances of being at risk of SIDS.

From new research it proves that having his or her own cot is most beneficial to the baby, at least up to the age of 3 months after which there is a sharp decline in the risk pattern.
While this is a view that all parents should heed it does call for a major change in lifestyle especially in a country like India or other Asian countries.

One is safe having your baby in your bed to cuddle or feed but napping should be strictly in his or her own cot, safely placed in the parent’s room for the first six months."

Hidden Truth!

Out of the mouths of babes comes the simple truth!

I was testing the children in my Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting to heaven.

I asked them, "If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, Would that get me into Heaven?"

"NO!" the children answered.

"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?"

Again, the answer was, "NO!"

By now I was starting to smile. Hey, this was fun!

"Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave candy to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into Heaven?" I asked them again.

Again, they all answered, "NO!"

I was just bursting with pride for them. Well, I continued, "then how can I get into Heaven?"

A five-year-old boy shouted out, "YOU GOTTA BE DEAD."

Sentenced

"A man committed murder. To fight his case he was advised to hire a good lawyer. He checked one who asked for $100. He thought this one is not good enough. The next one wanted $500. The next $5000. He found a real expensive one who wanted $10,0000.So the accused hired him. Ultimately he lost the case and was sentenced to death.

As he was being taken to the death chamber, the first lawyer met him on the way and said ' I would have got you this result for $100 only'!"

Erra hanya terdiam....

"Sayang, macammana perjalananmu?"

"Sungguh istimewa, terima kasih" kata Erra.

"So, Bagaimana dengan buah tangan "pesananku" dulu?" suaminya bertanya.

"Buah tangan apa?"

Translated statement claims responsibility for the London "raid"

In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and undaunted fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace be upon him.

Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.

We have repeatedly warned the British government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid.

We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused.

God says: "You who believe: If ye will aid (the cause of) God, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly."

People's Daily Online -- Explosions rock London, at least 90 injured

A series of explosions hit London's transport system during rush hour Thursday morning, causing a number of casualties and the suspension of the entire underground network.

Home Secretary Charles Clarke was cited by local media as saying that the blasts caused 'terrible injuries,' and police said there were at least 90 casualties.

There were no definite reports on the cause of the blasts, but police had defined them as 'major incidents.'

'It is too early to state what has happened,' a London police spokesman said. 'I cannot comment on reports of bombs, but we have had multi-reports of explosions around London.' ~link

  • Hargai pendapat satu sama lain.

  • Jangan biarkan faktor luaran seperti tekanan (stress) menjejaskan persahabatan anda.

~link

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Artist: Pink Floyd
Song: Wish You Were Here

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Lawak from ganu ...

On Target: NASA Rocket Slams Into Comet - Yahoo! News

PASADENA, Calif. - It sounded like science fiction —
NASA scientists used a space probe to chase down a speeding comet 83 million miles away and slammed it into the frozen ball of dirty ice and debris in a mission to learn how the solar system was formed.

The unmanned probe of the Deep Impact mission collided with Tempel 1, a pickle-shaped comet half the size of Manhattan, late Sunday as thousands of people across the country fixed their eyes to the southwestern sky for a glimpse.

The impact at 10:52 p.m. PDT was cause for celebration not only to scientists at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, but also for the more than 10,000 people camped out at Hawaii's Waikiki Beach to watch it on a giant movie screen. ~link

[Metal-Temple.com] Pink Floyd Perform At Live 8 In London (News)

British Rock legends Pink Floyd performed at London’s Hyde Park last night (July 2) in front of more than 150.000 people attending Bob Geldof’s Live 8 concert.

Pink Floyd reunited just for the purposes of Live 8 which went on simultaneously at eight countries as a worldwide voice ahead of the G8 summit in Scotland on July 6 where eight world leaders will be presented with a workable plan to double aid, drop debt and make trade laws fair to stop 30,000 children dying needlessly of extreme poverty every single day. The cities that hosted Live 8 are London (U.K.), Paris (France), Berlin (Germany), Rome (Italy), Philadelphia (USA), Barrie (Canada), Tokyo (Japan) and Johannesburg (South Africa). Hundreds of thousands of people attended Live 8 and around 3 Billion people watched it live from their TV sets and via the Internet, from all over the world.

Guitarist David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason and keyboard player Richard Wright joined bassist Roger Waters on stage for their first public performance since they played at London’s Earls Court in 1981. Pink Floyd played the following tracks:

01. Breathe
02. Money
03. Wish You Were Here
04. Comfortably Numb

The 8 most powerful leaders in the world

50,000 people are dying, needlessly, every day of extreme poverty.

At this year's G8 summit meeting, it is within your power to put an end to this tragedy. It is an extraordinary opportunity which it would be shameful to ignore. We urge you to take these 3 steps to make extreme poverty history...

1. double the aid sent to the world's poorest countries,
2. fully cancel their debts,
3. change the trade laws so that they can build their own future.

Convention on Psychotropic Substances

The Convention on Psychotropic Substances is a United Nations treaty designed to control psychoactive drugs such as amphetamines, barbiturates and LSD.  During the 1960s, drug use and abuse exploded worldwide, especially in the Western developed nations.  Availability of stimulants soared as manufacturers and traffickers took advantage of the inconsistent patchwork of national laws to circumvent restrictions on production and trade.  The Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 could not regulate the plethora of newly-discovered psychotropics, due to its limited scope.  On February 21, 1971, plenipotentiaries signed the Convention, which was worded broadly enough to be capable of encompassing almost any mind-altering substance.  Today, 175 nations are Parties to the treaty, which contains import and export restrictions and other rules aimed at limiting drug use to scientific and medical purposes.  Many laws have been passed to implement the Convention, including the U.S. Controlled Substances Act, the U.K. Misuse of Drugs Act, and the Canadian Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

First State in Nation to Launch Child Protection Registry

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and Chairman of the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) J. Peter Lark today announced that on July 1, Michigan will become the first state in the nation to launch a child protection registry that will enable parents to guard children from unwanted electronic messages.

“Michigan’s child protection registry is a great way parents can shield their children from inappropriate email,” said Granholm. “I’m proud that Michigan is the first state in the nation to develop this registry and provide a way for parents and teachers to protect our children from unsuitable emails.” ~link
