Hoobastank feat Vanessa Amorosi - The Letter

"Meet me there at midnight
same place we always go
You're absolutely sure he doesn't know."
Those words jump off the letter that I found behind our bed
Haunting me, they echo in my head
In my head

It's too late to try and work it out
there's no way to turn this thing around
It's all there in the letter that I found
I've memorized it line for line
Too bad that letter isn't mine

No...

"When can I next see you?
I've been counting down the days
I promise you our secret will be safe."
No, I just can't continue reading through my tears
the meaning of the letter is so clear
So clear

It's too late to try and work it out
there's no way to turn this thing around
It's all there in the letter that I found
I've memorized it line for line
Too bad that letter isn't mine

You wanted me to find it
You never tried to hide it
The writing never fades
those words are here to stay

"I hope you find this letter
I'm writing you today
these will be the last words that I say."

It's too late to try and work it out
there's no way to turn this thing around
It's all here in this letter that you found
It's too late to try and work it out (it's too late)
there's no way to turn this thing around (there's no way)
It's all here in this letter that you found
So memorize it line for line
I won't be there to say goodbye

Twitter Blog: New Front Page!

Today we're trying a redesigned front page for folks who are new to Twitter.com. If you're a regular around these parts, then you won't notice the new look unless you sign out of your account. Helping people access Twitter in more relevant and useful ways upon first introduction lowers the barrier to accessing the value Twitter has to offer and presents the service more consistently with how it has evolved.

Twitter began as a rudimentary social tool based on the concept of status messages but together with those who use it every day, the service has taught us what it wants to be. From features invented by users to applications built on the platform, we're still discovering potential. Twitter has moved from simple social networking into a new kind of communication and a valuable source of timely information. Also, it's fun.

Learning By Experience

Defining a "tweet" for the uninitiated and explaining how to create an account doesn't resonate with everyone. "Why would I want to do that?" is a common reaction. However, demonstrating the power of Twitter as a discovery engine for what is happening right now through our Search and Trends often awakens a sense of wonder which inevitably leads to a much more compelling question, "How do I get involved?"

More Work Ahead

The open and timely exchange of information will have a positive impact on the world and Twitter has a role to play. We have a lot of work to do when it comes to the quality of our search results and trend analysis but repositioning the product to focus more on discovery is an important first step in presenting Twitter to a wider audience of folks around the world who are eager to start engaging with new people, ideas, opinions, events, and sources of information.

We'll likely continue to make changes to the Twitter home page as we respond to feedback and ideas. We're eager to see if encouraging a sense of wonder and discovery leads to a better first impression of Twitter.

Doakan semoga roh arwah Jimi dicucuri rahmat.

Drink-drive killer sentenced to death

A drink driver who crashed into and killed four people has been sentenced to death in China, according to state media.

Sun Weiming was found guilty of endangering public safety after speeding in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, last December.

The 30-year-old reportedly struck four other cars, killing four people and seriously injuring another.

He was also driving without a licence, news services added.

It is the first time in China that a person has been given the death penalty for endangering public safety by drink driving, according to the Tianfu Morning Post and the Sichuan News Network.

Dangerous convicts in helicopter jailbreak (not iPhone jailbreak)

Three prisoners have escaped a Belgian jail in a hijacked helicopter - but left one of their accomplices behind, apparently for lack of space.

A police helicopter lands in a prison

Usually only police helicopters are seen landing within prison walls

The escapees fled the prison, near the city of Bruges in Belgium, on Thursday.

They then flew to the town of Aalter, where they seized a black Mercedes from a female driver and robbed a service station before heading for the Belgian coast, media reports said.

One of the accomplices who flew the helicopter was left behind at the prison, apparently due to a lack of room in the helicopter, the Belga news agency said.

No-one was hurt in the incident, which did not involve prisoners from the high-security wing.

But all three escapees - bank robber Ashraf Sekkaki, Mohammed Johry and Abdel Had Kahjary Mulloul - are all repeat offenders, prosecutors in Bruges said.

They include one of Belgium's most dangerous criminals, Ashraf Sekkaki, who has more than 16 convictions for violence, including kidnappings for ransom.

It is not the first time a helicopter has been used for an escape in Belgium.

In October 2007, Nordin Benallal, a self-styled "escape king" with convictions for armed robbery and carjacking, broke out of Ittre prison south of Brussels after armed accomplices landed there in a hijacked helicopter.

The helicopter was immediately rushed by other prisoners and crashed.

Benallal and his cohorts then seized two prison warders as hostages and fled in a car parked nearby.

He was recaptured in the Netherlands three days later.

Earlier the same year, Frenchman Erik Ferdinand escaped in a hijacked helicopter from Lantin prison near Liege.

He was arrested several weeks later in Italy.

Bank Negara Malaysia release new RM 50 bank notes design

Bank Negara Malaysia is issuing a new RM50 banknote, the second highest denomination in a new design Malaysian banknotes series (4th Series). This new design of RM50 banknote is the first denomination of the 4th Series of Malaysian currency notes which will be replacing the existing series in stages.

RM50 General 1The new design RM50 banknote retains the predominant colour of green-blue. The main theme of the design is the National Mission where the first thrust is "to move the economy up the value chain" which reflects Malaysia's economic transformation to the higher value-added activities in the agriculture, manufacturing and services sectors of the economy.

The dominant intaglio portrait of the first Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman ibni Tuanku Muhammad, is retained on the right and the national flower hibiscus is in the centre on the front of the new RM50 banknote. Design patterns from songket weaving, which are in the background and edges of the banknote, are featured to reflect the traditional Malaysian textile handicraft and embroidery.

The new RM50 banknote features Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj at the historic declaration of Malaya's independence and the logo of the 50th Anniversary of Independence on the reverse side.

Members of the public are advised to take note of the security features and design of the new RM50 notes as outlined. The existing series of the RM50 banknotes will continue to be legal tender.

First death case of H1N1?

Blood samples from student who died sent to IMR:

SEREMBAN: Blood samples of a 15-year-old student who died of a viral infection at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital on Saturday have been sent to the Institute of Medical Research to determine the actual cause of death.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said Sunday doctors at the hospital found that Chan Hui Ven’s death was caused by meningoencephalitis, or inflammation of the brain.

Hui Ven, a student at Chung Hua High School here, had been warded since Wednesday. Her condition was already serious and she was semi-conscious when she was brought to the hospital.

“She was apparently receiving treatment elsewhere before she was brought to the hospital. Doctors prescribed antibiotics but she did not respond,” Liow said.

He said those afflicted with meningoencephalitis would normally recover after being given antibiotics.

Citing an example, he said there were no casualties when more than 100 trainees at the Road Transport Department’s training academy in Tiang Dua were hit by meningococcal meningitis.

Liow said Hui Ven was believed to have travelled before she fell ill.

Coincidentally, her school was ordered closed from July 6 to 12 after another 15-year-old student tested positive for influenza A (H1N1).

However, Liow was quick to add that the two cases were not connected.

“Although this is an isloated case, we need to establish what she was actually infected with. A person can get infected with meningoencephalitis if he or she comes into contact with polluted water or unhygienic surroundings,” he said.

Liow said his ministry viewed the matter seriously as it did not want an outbreak.

“I have been told that there have been deaths caused by meningoencephalitis in the past. Although this is the first case in Seremban this year, we are going to take all preventive measures to ensure it does not spread,” he added.

Liow later visited Hui Ven’s family to convey his condolences.

Will this bocome first death case because of H1N1?

BMW Motorsport announced on July 7th, 2009 the launch of a line of BMW M3 race cars which meet the FIA's GT4 spec aimed at private teams and drivers. The BMW M3 GT4 price is expected to be approximately 120,000 Euros.

"The new BMW M3 GT4 now also provides private teams with numerous opportunities," says BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. "For over 50 years customer racing has been a cornerstone of BMW’s motorsport programs. After all, what better global ambassador for the performance pedigree of BMW cars than a privateer who is competing for victory in a BMW vehicle." ~wikipedia

Bismillah.. Jd aku EL halfday lah, sbb aku masuk pukul 7 am + 4.5 jam jdnya aku keluar 11.30 am, ok lah tu, sampai gombak lam 12 lebih.

... received a visit from one of her fellow church members. "How are you feeling?" the visitor asked.

"Oh," said the lady, "I'm just worried sick!"

"What are you worried about, dear?" her friend asked. "You look like you're in good health. They are taking care of you, aren't they?"

"Yes, they are taking very good care of me."

"Are you in any pain?" she asked.

"No, I have never had a pain in my life."

"Well, what are you worried about?" her friend asked again.

The lady leaned back in her rocking chair and slowly explained her major worry. "Every close friend I ever had has already died and gone on to heaven. I'm afraid they're all wondering where I went."

In the United States, Independence Day, known as, and more commonly referred to by the phrase "Fourth of July", is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

Independence Day is the national day of the United States. (via wikipedia)

I hope that Google will make a logo for Malaysian Independence day on 31st of August too!

POWER TIP

"What's here?" in Google Maps

This new option on the right-click menu in Google Maps gives you the most relevant results based on your current location, whether it's a specific address, a natural feature, or a place name. "What's here?" takes into account the zoom level you're looking at to give you the most appropriate geographical detail at that point. For example, if you're very zoomed in, you will get an exact address. If you're more zoomed out, you might get a neighborhood, a city or a state. If you combine this with the "At this address" feature, you can also see a list of the businesses located at that place.

Lately, we've been working on several initiatives dedicated to a faster experience on the Internet overall. We've just introduced a site for developers full of tips and tools for improved performance and speed on the web, as well as a call for ideas on how to speed things up even more.
